Heather E. Gunnarson
Associate University Counsel, Title IX and Student Life
Heather joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2017. She received a B.A. in history from Brigham Young University in 1991 and a J.D. from J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1994. Heather worked as a law clerk to Associate Chief Justice Richard Howe of the Utah Supreme Court and as a partner in the Salt Lake City firm of Hoole & King with an emphasis on litigating civil rights and discrimination claims. In addition, she served as the Utah Labor Commission's Presiding Judge and Director of its Antidiscrimination & Labor Division. Heather is admitted to practice in Utah and the United States Supreme Court.
