Rich joined the Office of General Counsel in 2016. He received B.A. Degrees in Political Science and Spanish magna cum laude from Brigham Young University in 2004 and a J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2007, where he was Manuscript Editor of the New Mexico Law Review. After graduating from law school, Rich began work as a civil defense litigation associate for the Albuquerque firm of Allen, Shepherd, Lewis & Syra, P.A. where he specialized in medical malpractice defense and healthcare law. From 2012 to 2016 he worked at Rodey, Dickason, Sloan, Akin & Robb, P.A. in Albuquerque where he was a partner prior to joining the Office of General Counsel. Rich is licensed to practice law in Utah and New Mexico.
