Scott joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2015. Scott received his B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University in 2002 and a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 2005. After graduating from law school, Scott practiced law in Nevada and Southern Utah where he primarily focused on business and estate planning matters. Before coming to BYU, he was a partner at the law firm of Barney, McKenna & Olmstead, P.C. Scott is licensed to practice in Nevada and Utah.
