Erin Cranor

Erin joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2022 as Associate University Counsel for the Division of Continuing Education. Erin studied human developmental biology at Brigham Young University and received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in zoology in 1994 and 1995. After a part-time career in development and consulting for youth development nonprofit organizations and public service in K-12 education governance, she returned to BYU on a religious freedom fellowship. She served as Co-Editor of the BYU Education & Law Journal and received a master of education degree in educational leadership and a J.D. cum laude. Prior to joining the Office of the General Counsel, Erin practiced in data privacy, international business, and religious freedom and other civil rights with Kirton McConkie. Erin is licensed to practice law in Utah and Idaho.
